Mission House, Laytown

St Colmcille's Mission House is located approximately 30 miles from Dublin and 5 miles from Drogheda. It is set in a beautiful location, close to the sea and church, with local medical and leisure facilities. The house seeks to provide a place of peace and community for Sisters on mission in the Regions. It is community for two Sisters and is open throughout the year. The Sisters invite those on mission to visit, or to stay for longer periods, and establish the house as their base community if appropriate.

The house is single storey and has seven bedrooms available, with two ensuite. Within the house there is a large sitting room, kitchen and dining area, prayer room, utility room and library. The house is also the base for the Mission Office within the Province, with access to telephone, fax and email facilities.

The house provides a community home for Sisters who may be:

• Seeking a community base in Ireland while working on mission in the Regions
• On holiday from the Regions
• Recuperating from illness while in Ireland
• In Ireland for a period of study prior to returning to the Regions
• On a period of sabbatical from the Regions
• Preparing to go on mission
• Travelling to and from the Regions and requiring overnight accommodation for ease in travel arrangements.
