Lokori

MCH and curative services are the main health services given
by our sisters here. However, training of TBA’s and CHW’s
as well as food distribution (to the malnourished) is also done. A school
health program is done once annually. There are 21 stations presently
and a staff of seven.
Distances are long; the terrain is rough and the climate
very tiring. People are extremely poor and migrate a lot and this makes
the rendering of medical services particularly difficult. Aircraft services
make a few of the safaris less onerous. CORDAID and other donors provided
88% of the funding in 2003.
