STATEMENT OF THE CONGREGATION OF THE SISTERS OF MERCY
April 15th, 2010
The Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy, together with other congregations, met with An Taoiseach, Government Ministers and their advisors this afternoon at Government Buildings. It was a constructive meeting, during which we spoke about our contribution, by way of reparation for the suffering of former residents.
It was agreed that a further meeting will be arranged with our Congregation as part of a continuing process. We are hopeful that our contribution may be delivered as soon as possible.
The report of the Assessment Panel regarding our Congregation’s resources is available on our website www.sistersofmercy.ie The detail of our contribution to Government was placed on our website last December (2009).
